Blue Ridge Services Seeking Tree Removal Safety Officers
Tree removal experience required
Blue Ridge Services (BRS), the County of Mariposa’s and Madera’s Operations Management Team for the Tree Mortality Projects, is seeking qualified short-term/seasonal workers to assist BRS with tree counting and tree marking for the Mortality Tree Projects in Madera and Mariposa Counties.
The employment will be at will. The project may run longer or shorter but the length of the work will be approximately 2 years in duration, up to 6 days and 60 hours per week.
All Qualified Candidates, will have at least 5 years of full-time (minimum of 1800 hours annually) or 8 years of part-time/seasonal experience (minimum of 600 hours annually) in the tree removal industry. This is experience should have included working regularly with tree falling requiring technical removals (climbing and lowering the tree in sections with ropes to avoid damage to infrastructure or persons).
Additionally, All Qualified Candidates will be familiar with CalOSHA Requirements for Tree Work and have had a minimum of 3 years management experience.
All Qualified Candidates will be in good health, with the ability to lift at least 60 pounds and walk 5 miles in a day.
